Corrections Policy
Durbin News is committed to accurate reporting. However, unintentional errors may occur. When an error is identified, we correct it promptly and communicate corrections transparently to our readers.
What we correct:
Factual errors (names, titles, ages, dates, locations, figures, quotes, events)
Misleading or incorrect context
Incorrect captions or misidentified photos/videos, or source errors
Significant omissions that materially affect the understanding of a story

supporting evidence/source (documents, links, data) if available
How we review:
The issue is reviewed by our editorial team and, when necessary, the reporter.
We may re-check documents, data, and request statements from relevant parties.
If confirmed, a correction is issued.
How corrections are displayedDepending on the type of error, we may use one of the following methods:
Minor fixes (typos that do not change meaning): may be corrected without a note.
Material corrections (significant factual issues):
the article is updated with the corrected information
a “Correction” or “Update” note is added at the top or bottom
the note explains what changed and includes the date
Updates vs corrections:
Update: added when new information becomes available.
Correction: added when previously published information is found to be wrong.
Clarification: added when wording is improved to prevent confusion without changing core facts.
Removal or republication in cases of major errors, legal risk, or potential harm, we may temporarily unpublish/remove content and republish a corrected version if appropriate.

সংশোধনী নীতি :
Durbin News যথাসম্ভব নির্ভুল সংবাদ পরিবেশনে প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ। তবুও অনিচ্ছাকৃত ভুল হতে পারে। কোনো ভুল শনাক্ত হলে আমরা দ্রুত সংশোধন করি এবং পাঠকের সামনে স্বচ্ছভাবে তা জানাই।
১) কী ধরনের ভুল সংশোধন করা হয়:
তথ্যগত ভুল (নাম, পদবি, বয়স, তারিখ, স্থান, সংখ্যা, উদ্ধৃতি, ঘটনা)
বিভ্রান্তিকর বা ভুল প্রেক্ষাপট (context)
ভুল ক্যাপশন/ছবি/ভিডিওর ভুল পরিচিতি বা উৎস
গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য বাদ পড়া (যা রিপোর্টকে ভুলভাবে প্রভাবিত করে)

সংশ্লিষ্ট আর্টিকেলের লিংক
কোন তথ্য/লাইন ভুল, কীভাবে ভুল
সম্ভব হলে প্রমাণ/সঠিক তথ্যের সূত্র (ডকুমেন্ট/লিংক/ডেটা)
৩) আমরা কীভাবে যাচাই করি:
রিপোর্টকৃত বিষয়টি রিপোর্টার/সম্পাদকীয় টিম যাচাই করে।
প্রয়োজন হলে সংশ্লিষ্ট পক্ষ/ডকুমেন্ট/ডেটা দিয়ে পুনরায় নিশ্চিত করা হয়।
যাচাই শেষে ভুল প্রমাণিত হলে সংশোধনী কার্যকর করা হয়।
৪) সংশোধনী কীভাবে দেখানো হয়:ভুলের ধরন অনুযায়ী আমরা নিচের যে কোনো পদ্ধতি অনুসরণ করি:
Minor fix (ছোট বানান/টাইপো, অর্থ বদলায় না): প্রয়োজন হলে নীরবে ঠিক করা হতে পারে।
Material correction (গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্যগত ভুল):
আর্টিকেলে সংশোধিত তথ্য আপডেট করা হবে
আর্টিকেলের শুরুতে/শেষে “Correction” বা “Update” নোট যোগ করা হবে
নোটে কী পরিবর্তন হয়েছে এবং তারিখ উল্লেখ থাকবে
৫) আপডেট বনাম সংশোধনী:
Update: নতুন তথ্য যোগ হলে বা ঘটনাপ্রবাহ বদলালে “Update” নোট দেওয়া হয়।
Correction: পূর্বে প্রকাশিত তথ্য ভুল প্রমাণিত হলে “Correction” নোট দেওয়া হয়।
Clarification: ভুল না হলেও পাঠকের বিভ্রান্তি দূর করতে ভাষা পরিষ্কার করা হলে “Clarification” দেওয়া হয়।
৬) কনটেন্ট অপসারণ/রিপাবলিশ:
বড় ধরনের ভুল, আইনগত ঝুঁকি, বা ক্ষতির সম্ভাবনা থাকলে আর্টিকেল সাময়িকভাবে আনপাবলিশ/রিমুভ করা হতে পারে এবং প্রয়োজন হলে সংশোধিতভাবে পুনঃপ্রকাশ করা হতে পারে।
